Privacy Policy

Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a one-way bcrypt hash — we never store or have access to your plain-text password). If you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email, and profile photo from Google.

Profile & career data: the information you add to build your VA profile — portfolio content, uploaded resumes and photos, introduction videos, asking rate, skills, and the inputs behind your VA Score (English assessment, DISC personality profile, IQ score, equipment readiness, ID verification status).

Payment information: when you upgrade to PRO or Premium, your payment is processed directly by our payment partners — PayMongo, Stripe, Dodo Payments, or Xendit. We receive confirmation that a payment succeeded and your plan/billing status, but we do not store your full card number, CVV, or e-wallet credentials on our servers.

Usage data: pages visited, features used, notifications, and referral activity, collected to operate and improve the Service.

Cookies: we use a session cookie to keep you signed in, and analytics cookies (Google Analytics) to understand how the Service is used.

• To create and maintain your account and provide the Service
• To calculate your VA Score and show your public portfolio to prospective clients
• To process payments and manage your subscription plan
• To match you with relevant WFH job listings and employers on the platform
• To send transactional emails (welcome, renewal reminders, notifications) and, where you haven't opted out, product updates and training invitations
• To detect, prevent, and investigate fraud, abuse, or security incidents
• To improve the Service based on aggregate usage patterns

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with:

• Payment processors (PayMongo, Stripe, Dodo Payments, Xendit) to process your payments
• Employers/clients who browse the WFH Job Board or Marketplace — limited to the information on your public portfolio, which you control
• Service providers who help us run the platform: Vercel (hosting and file storage), GoHighLevel (email delivery), Sentry (error monitoring), Google (sign-in)
• Authorities, where required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of Rene AI, our users, or the public

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. If you close your account, we delete or anonymize your personal data within a reasonable period, except where we're required to keep certain records (e.g. transaction records) for legal or accounting purposes.

As a resident of the Philippines, you have rights under the Data Privacy Act of 2012 (Republic Act No. 10173), including the right to be informed, to access your data, to correct inaccurate data, to object to processing, to erasure or blocking, to data portability, to damages for violations of your rights, and to file a complaint with the National Privacy Commission (privacy.gov.ph). Wherever you're located, you can request a copy or correction of your data at any time by emailing us at the address below. You can also delete your account yourself at any time from Settings → Danger Zone in the app: your account is paused immediately and your data is permanently deleted after a 30-day grace period, which you can cancel by contacting us before it ends.

Your personal information is stored on encrypted servers and access is restricted to what's needed to operate the Service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we work to protect your information using industry-standard safeguards.

Rene AI is intended for working-age adults building a virtual assistant career and is not directed at children under 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you directly.
